Network Patch

From NYC Resistor Wiki

Overview[edit]

The network is run from two patch panels in the loft, one with Blue cables and one with Grey cables. Each network drop in the space has a Blue and a Grey connector. The Blue and Grey patch panels are located above the switch in the switch rack, and are jumpered with Blue and Grey jumpers into the switch. Not all of the Blue and Grey network drops are in use, and not all of the switch ports are connected to the patch panel. Several Devices are plugged directly into the switch, or into the openwrt router/AP. The openwrt router/AP is connected directly to the cable modem.

Static Network Devices[edit]

Device IP Address
OpenWRT router 192.168.0.1
Lazzor 192.168.0.4
Home Assistant 192.168.0.237

Most permanently installed devices have a static IP address; this table only shows the main ones. If you add a static IP address, give it a static DHCP lease on the openwrt router, even if the device doesn't use dhcp.
