ShopBot Operating Procedure
Introduction
[edit | edit source]This is an operations checklist for the ShopBot. You must check this list *every time* you run the tool, from beginning to end. Do not leave the machine until you have run through the entire list.

| Spindle | WARMED IF NECESSARY (First run of the day, Warmup Guide) |
| Workpiece | SECURED TO TABLE SURFACE (via screws or clamps) |
| First required tool for work | SNUGLY MOUNTED IN COLLET |
| Screws and clamps | CLEAR OF TOOLPATH, CLAMP HANDLES UNDER BED |
| X/Y Axis | PROPERLY ZEROED FOR WORKPIECE |
| Z Axis | ZEROED TO SPOILBOARD OR WORKPIECE AS REQUIRED.
WARNING: THE TOOL WILL PLUNGE TWICE. DO NOT REMOVE PLATE UNTIL INSTRUCTED. |
| Z Zero Plate and Alligator Clip | REMOVED FROM TOOL AND STOWED |
| Dust collection shoe | AT CORRECT HEIGHT TO TOUCH WORKPIECE ON FINAL PASS. PINNED IN PLACE. |
| Eye and ear protection | WORN BY ALL PERSONS IN ROOM |
| Tooltown Doors | CLOSED |

| Spindle | NOT LOCKED OUT (ENABLED WITH KEY) |
